Soda Can - 1980s

sgOne of the oddest items in the collection, this is an empty-yet-sealed (?) soda can. All I know is that it hails from a Middle Eastern country since, save for "Aquaman", the rest of the can is in Arabic! Who would've guessed Aquaman would resonate with people on the other side of the world?

As you can see, the can uses classic Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez stock art (and oddly botches the orange on his shirt, even though the correct hue surrounds him on all sides), so I'm assuming there was a line of soda with DC characters on the cans.

There's no recognizable logo on the can, like Pepsi or anything, and I've never seen another one ever surface on ebay. So for now the origins of this curious little item remain a mystery...

Perhaps it was once filled with delicious Clamato juice!

If you post a better scan of the Arabic letters I can see if my wife will translate. She's from Morocco, so Arabic is her native language.

Check it! Looks like this can probably came from Saudi Arabia! Here is the Batman can in the same series...
