You'd think I'd take a break from posting for today, to recover from the super-exciting Norman "Aquaman" Alden interview yesterday, but no! This piece was just too perfect to post any other day but today.This is the only Aquaman piece from a pack of DC Valentines produced in 1980. Most feature solid Dick Giordano art, and this piece is of course especially charming since it features Aquaman's queen, Mera.
When I got the pack of valentines a few years ago, it came with two or three of each style, so I gave one of these to Tracy for our first Valentine's Day. Partly because I'm blonde and she's a redhead, but also to give her an idea what she was getting into...
